Bello

I explore the phenomenological and pedagogical meaning of art, focusing on its anthropological aspects, with the hope of creating a shared space with others.

Angela Bello

Angela Bello develops her artistic identity through an emotional-empathetic observation that reveals the place in the non-place, giving shape to absence with a corroded painting, and exploring a metatemporal dimension in which remote memory and continuous future are always rediscovered as current.

Originally Martina Franca, after graduating from high school as a surveyor, cultivated her passion for drawing as an amateur, dedicating herself professionally to technical work. After moving to Florence, she began to explore hyperrealist techniques to rework her experiences and emotions through art, completing her training at the Academy of Fine Arts in 2025 and dedicating herself increasingly to her artistic production.

The investigation of her artistic identity finds space in an emotional search for empty and liminal spaces, where she emphasizes presence in absence and denial through a corroded and ruined painting. Her painting, in fact, is constituted by an alternation of flow of consciousness and control, light and shadow, compositional awareness and material disintegration. The dimension she portrays is suspended in a metatemporal temporality, where present, past, and future merge into an ever -present time.

The artist has participated in exhibitions and artist residencies, where she has engaged in dialogue and expressed herself in a variety of contexts. In 2025, she won the Critics’ Award at the fifteenth edition of the Festival dell’Immagine in Martina Franca (Taranto).
