The face without identity in this oil on canvas belongs to the Synergy collection, in which the artist investigates the realities hidden behind a world of perceptions. Beyond visible reality (such only because our brain can decipher and interpret it), there exists chaos, which is nothing more than order waiting to be understood.
The angel’s body reflects precisely this chaos, which demands to be interpreted, observed, and deciphered by the eye of the beholder. The swirling, colorful brushstrokes generate a galaxy within the bust, embodying the indecipherability of the world. The whirlwind of colors, however, clashes with the defined and recognizable outline of the face.
Behind the subject, the immensity of the universe opens up, a deep blue that places soul and cosmos in dialogue, both comprehensible up to a mysterious unknown threshold.
