Art has no boundaries: between instrument and voice, performance and interpretation, tradition and innovation. When I’m making music I embrace every aspect of it.

Gabriela Opacka

Gabriela Opacka-Boccadoro is a Polish-British artist with an extraordinary background and a multifaceted career. Born in 1993, she has built, in just over a decade, a professional path that embraces three musical identities: violin, voice, and conducting.

Graduating with top honors from some of Europe’s most prestigious conservatories—a PhD from the Chopin Conservatory in Warsaw, an Artist Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and a Master’s degree from the Penderecki Academy in Kraków—Gabriela represents a new generation of musicians who reject boundaries between disciplines and embrace the complexity of artistic experience.

For over eight years, she has been a violinist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world’s most celebrated symphonic ensembles. At the same time, she has developed an intense career as a session musician for film soundtracks, collaborating with Academy Award-winning composer Dario Marianelli and recording at legendary studios such as Abbey Road and AIR Studios. On February 16, 2026, her latest album Marimba Experiment, created in collaboration with musician Maria Chlebus, is set for release.

Her versatility also extends to singing: as an active member of the London Contemporary Voices, Gabriela brings to the stage a dual training that allows her to understand music from complementary perspectives.

Since 2023, she has taken on a new artistic challenge: orchestral conducting. Accepted into advanced training programs at the conservatories of Oslo and Stockholm (beginning in 2025), she has already studied with renowned maestros such as Marin Alsop, Jorma Panula, and Michel Tabachnik, standing out in highly competitive masterclasses across Europe. She has also been selected to participate in the Taki Alsop Fellowship 2027 Mentoring Programme.

Gabriela Opacka-Boccadoro embodies the idea that art knows no boundaries: between instrument and voice, performance and interpretation, tradition and innovation. Her story is that of a musician who has chosen to explore every dimension of making music.
