Description
Conducting represents the natural evolution of Gabriela’s artistic journey: after years of orchestral and solo experience, she has chosen to look at music from a broader perspective, that of the gesture that shapes collective sound.
In a world where only 5% of professional conductors are women, Gabriela represents a new generation challenging gender barriers in one of the musical professions historically most closed to women. Her determination to pursue this career is also an act of cultural change.
Since 2023, she has been studying conducting with some of the world’s most respected maestros. She has been accepted to masterclasses with Marin Alsop —one of the few female conductors to have broken the glass ceiling in symphony conducting—with the NOSPR Orchestra in Katowice (one of the most competitive opportunities in Poland), to summer courses at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Maestros Acocella and Tabachnik, and to Jorma Panula‘s masterclasses in Budapest and Malaga.
In 2024, she participated in the Glover-Edwards Conducting Programme at the Royal Academy of Music in London and in a masterclass with Jorma Panula and the MÁV Symphony Orchestra in Budapest. She was Assistant Conductor of the King’s College London Symphony Orchestra, where she conducted symphonic repertoire in public concerts.
In September 2025, she began official conducting courses at the conservatories of Oslo and Stockholm, institutions of Northern European excellence in the training of conductors.
Conducting is the fulfillment of an artistic vision that embraces all dimensions of music-making.
