For me, art is pure communication, a way of expressing reality through my own perspective and life experiences. It’s a universal language we can all connect with, one that evokes deep emotions.

Dan Faco

Daniela Facoetti, aka Dan Faco, is a Bergamo-based artist who has made stylistic fusion and gestural spontaneity the core of her work. Trained at the Accademia Manzù and the Scuola del Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Dan Faco creates a visual language where the irony of Pop Art meets the energy of action painting, creating textured works capable of profoundly touching the viewer’s emotions.

Dan Faco’s training spanned two prominent institutions: the Accademia Manzù, where she acquired technical expertise and a deep understanding of her craft, and the Scuola del Castello Sforzesco in Milan, an environment that exposed her to contemporary languages and experimental approaches. This dual training allowed her to develop a personal style that transcends a single current and engages with diverse traditions.

Dan Faco’s work is characterized by a fusion of Pop Art and Action Painting: on the one hand, bright color, recognizable symbols, and the iconography of contemporary culture; on the other, instinctive gesture, textured painting, and an expressive urgency that is unplanned but manifests itself in the very moment of creation. Her works emerge from instinctive gestures and the use of textured and natural elements that add tactile and visual depth to the painted surface.

This fusion creates a dynamic balance: pop irony lightens the emotional density of the gesture, while the spontaneous action lends authenticity and physical presence to contemporary symbols. This results in works that oscillate between immediate recognition and layered complexity, between luminous surface and material depth.

Dan Faco’s research alternates contemporary symbols with intimate works, moving between the public and private spheres, between collective language and personal narrative. Some works engage with the shared imagery of pop culture, others delve into the realm of memory, personal experience, and emotions seeking visible form. In both cases, the goal is to create intense sensory experiences that engage the viewer not only visually but emotionally.

Her works do not illustrate emotions but embody them through color, material, and gesture: they are presences that communicate directly, without excessive conceptual mediation.

Dan Faco has exhibited in prestigious venues in Italy and abroad, bringing her work to cities such as Milan, Rome, Venice, and Paris. Her participation in exhibitions and projects demonstrates a recognized and constantly evolving artistic path, capable of engaging with diverse contexts while maintaining stylistic coherence and expressive power.
