Caterina Ardizzon

Caterina Ardizzon is an Italian visual artist, born in Venice and living in Rome, who transforms imagination, color, and form into a multidisciplinary language blending illustration, graphics, music, and theater. While in high school, she trained at the International School of Graphics in Venice. She went on to earn a degree in Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan and a specialization in Sustainable Design from Bournemouth University (UK) in 2012. She expanded her artistic practice into the field of theatrical performance between 2014 and 2017, attending the acting school at the CCI Policardia Teatro.

Her illustrations are characterized by simple lines, bright colors, and dreamlike atmospheres, while her theatrical activity, from “Il Mercante di Parole” (2019) to the adaptation of Alessandro Baricco’s novel “City” (2022), experiments with the integration of visual arts with the stage. In 2023, she published the illustrated book Paco e altre storie di animali, selected for the Ilustrofest festival in Belgrade, and in 2024, she launched the musical project Gincana – for which she curates lyrics, voice, and visual communication. Her art explores emotional universes in which repetition, visual patterns, and colors become poetic tools of transformation and reflection, often questioning classical myths with a gaze free from stereotypes (as in the series Senza voce ) and giving voice to feminine and collective interiority.
