Caterina Ardizzon, Gincana

Gincana is a multidisciplinary musical project, born in 2024 from an idea by Caterina Ardizzon and Antonio Junior Antonaglia. It’s more than just a duo; it’s a creative universe where sound, words, and images are constructed together in constant dialogue.

Description

Gincana was born from the meeting of Caterina Ardizzon and Antonio Junior Antonaglia, giving rise to an explosion of creativity that fuses music, acting, poetry, and visual art.

On one side is Antonio, born and raised in New York, who began his career as a classical guitarist before exploring electronic sounds, pressing numerous vinyl records for major international labels as a sound engineer and designer. On the other is Caterina, a Venetian artist working in theater, visual art, design, and graphics, exploring emotional universes and conveying them through drawings, words, and performances. In the Gincana project, Caterina curates the voice, lyrics, and visual identity, intertwining her artistic practice with the language of digital collage and motion graphics.

The project takes shape as a dystopian tale written for audio: a 60-minute concept album, composed of nine song-episodes that transport the listener to a surreal world. But Gincana also comes to life live: a 30-minute live performance transforms the exhibition of works into an immersive experience thanks to electronic music, dreamy vocals, and the use of light.

Their latest single, Speranza (2025), is a profound and introspective song that takes the listener on a journey through the nuances of hope and despair, with raw and poetic lyrics rich in powerful and evocative imagery. A hymn to resilience that strikes a chord with the human soul.

Gincana is not just a musical project: it is a creative universe where sound, words, and images are constructed together, in a constant dialogue between dream and reality.
