I investigate each mark as energy: lines, rhythms, and distortions become tools to explore perception and movement.
Biography, Projects, and Available Works
Marco Ugoni
Marco Ugoni focuses his artistic research on experimenting with lines, rhythms, and dynamic deformations to explore perception and movement. Since childhood, he has always shown a certain attraction to drawing and painting, so much so that he based his studies on an artistic path. After shelving a career in architecture, he’s been able to fully focus on his artistic production.
The painter’s personal language is articulated by reconstructing reality through the distortion of lines that, rather than delineating objects, render them unstable. The effect of the lines, which flood and surround the subjects, creates the impression of optical art, an optical illusion. The juxtaposed lines thus become a sensorial element that guides the eye through the work’s narrative progression.
Since 2012, the artist has worked for various exhibition contexts, continuing an activity in constant growth and evolution.
