Description
In Dancing 0.12, Marco Ugoni explores perception and movement with parallel lines that distort and reconstruct the human figure. The painting depicts a woman captured in a dynamic pose, a suspended gesture that suggests freedom and lightness. The lines, bending and following the curves of her body, do more than simply outline her silhouette: they fill it with movement.
Numerous black lines branch out from the figure’s head, expanding across the entire blue background of the canvas. These lines, resembling an extension of her hair, invade every corner of the space, making visible the energy emanating from the subject’s body. The effect created is reminiscent of both dance movement and musical vibration.
Through this graphic manipulation of the figure and the environment, the body, the rhythm, and the lines become a single entity, capable of capturing a moment of freedom and lightheartedness.
