Art4Women, an innovative start-up dedicated to fostering connections between contemporary art, businesses and local communities, continues its RoadShow: a travelling exhibition project with a strong social impact that is crossing Italy aboard an electric cargo van, bringing Art4Women’s international community of artists directly into local communities and creating opportunities for dialogue between diverse artistic practices, residents and cultural organisations.
Following its stops in Sicily, Malesco and Cernobbio, the RoadShow arrives in Omegna, on Lake Orta, on Saturday, 29 August 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with an event organised in partnership with Parco della Fantasia “Gianni Rodari”. The exhibition will feature works by Dan Faco, David Sommariva, Aria Carelli and Davide Pieragostini, all members of the Art4Women artist community.
At 4:00 p.m., the focus turns to younger visitors with a creative manga drawing workshop led by Angelo Grassi: an interactive experience for children combining a live demonstration with guided drawing and manga-style storytelling activities.
The Parco della Fantasia “Gianni Rodari” is a literary park dedicated to celebrated children’s author Gianni Rodari, who was born in Omegna. Conceived as a creative journey for children and families, it brings together play spaces, museums, workshops and activities across the local area. Its mission naturally resonates with the spirit of the Art4Women RoadShow: bringing contemporary art into dialogue with the stories and communities of the places it visits, with this stop placing a particular emphasis on younger audiences.
Dan Faco, born Daniela Facoetti, is an artist from Bergamo who trained at the Accademia Manzù and the Scuola del Castello Sforzesco in Milan. In her work, the irony of Pop Art meets the gestural energy of Action Painting, resulting in richly textured pieces that combine natural elements with symbols drawn from contemporary culture.
David Sommariva, born in Lodi in 1972 and trained in Architecture and Design at the Politecnico di Milano, has developed a hyperrealist painting practice that recreates corroded metal surfaces and post-industrial fragments, populated by pop icons that evoke a shared cultural memory.
Aria Carelli, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples who later specialised at IED in Milan, uses acrylics and ink to create a delicate, dreamlike visual world intertwined with music and poetry, where figures inhabit suspended and surreal spaces.
Davide Pieragostini, known as Thedamngraphic, is a digital illustrator originally from the Marche region and now based in Milan. His distinctive vector style, characterised by large, expressive eyes and saturated colours, transforms portraits, everyday scenes and references to art history and pop culture into bold, instantly recognisable compositions.
Manga Drawing and Storytelling Workshop with Angelo Grassi
Angelo Grassi (Milan, 2002) is a Milan-based comic artist and b-boy whose practice blends sequential art with hip-hop culture, moving between manga, independent comics and street culture. A graduate in graphic design, he continued his training at the Scuola del Fumetto in Milan, specialising in manga techniques. In Omegna, he will lead a workshop designed specifically for children, introducing them to drawing and visual storytelling through a practical, playful approach.
