The wind is the voice of the mountain, and it always says something about invisible sensations that are so true and real to me.

Marta Tessaroli

Marta Tessaroli translates the experience of the high mountains into painting, transmitting on paper an intimate dialogue between interiority and the Alpine landscape.

Her artistic training took her from Cremona to the Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia and then to the Academy of Bergamo, where she specialized in painting. Her artistic identity, however, is deeply intertwined with the passion for the high mountains passed on to her by her father: a legacy that accompanied her as she grew up among the peaks and in the intense emotions that form the core of her artistic research.

Marta Tessaroli’s works are a reinterpretation of moments experienced during high-altitude ascents, places where the artist often creates her works. They arise from a creative process that leads her to identify with the Alpine landscapeforging a primordial pact between artist and nature, the balance of the rocks is transformed into lines, colors, and tensions on paper.

Marta Tessaroli’s research extends to the concept of mindscape, that is, the exploration of the relationship between psyche and landscape. In the case of the mountains, the artist recognizes a maternal bond, a central theme of her work, which develops through pictorial techniques integrated with photography, video, and writing.

Grembo, created in collaboration with photographer Monica Taglietti, is a project that saw the artist hike Adamello Trail No. 1 over ten days, intertwining artistic, philosophical, and social research. The boundaries separating man from nature were minimized to capture, through painting, photography, video, writing, and recordings, her perception of the mountains.

In 2025 she won the Academic Prize at the Identità festival in Martina Franca (Taranto).
