We are pleased to announce that the artist Agostino Bergo is the winner of the Rosso Passione Prize 2025 with the work Моё сокровище (My Treasure)”.

After having distinguished himself in previous years with the victory of the Cascella Prize (2018), Art in Armenia (2020), and with the selection for the international exhibition Les Italiens ei Francesi, Maestri della collezione Cà la Ghironda also present at the Louvre (2024), Agostino Bergo confirms his artistic trajectory of excellence by also winning the Special Section of the Marchionni Prize with an elegant combination of tradition and innovation. The tonal oil technique, in the wake of the most refined baroque portraiture, was applied to an aluminium surface, appropriately treated and shaped to fit onto a wooden baroque frame from 1956, which was recovered and restored specifically for this work.

The jury, composed of a professor of neuroscience from the University of Pisa, two gallery owners, and six collectors, recognized the technical mastery and conceptual depth of this work, which manages to evoke emotion and intimacy through a balanced, symbolic, and layered pictorial material.

The work “Моё сокровище (My Treasure)” will be exhibited, along with the finalist and winning works of the Marchionni Prize, at the Museo Diocesano Arborense in Oristano until 26 July 2025.
