Oil on canvas from 2025 by Sveva Ambrosoli, measuring 100 × 100 cm. Two female faces brush against each other in a field of total blue: an inner duality between intuition and reason, between who we are and who we observe within ourselves.

Description

Two Visions is an oil on canvas (100 × 100 × 4 cm) created by Sveva Ambrosoli in 2025. Unique work, signed by the artist.

Two female faces occupy the entire surface of the canvas. They are extremely close, yet each looks in a different direction. They do not seek one another – they coexist. The frontal face meets the viewer with a quiet clarity; the other profile emerges from the right with determination.

Everything is blue. No disruptive color, no accent. Here, Ambrosoli embraces reduction: without the chromatic contrasts found in other works, the tension shifts entirely into form, depth, and the space between the two faces. It is a work that operates through both proximity and difference at once.

Two Visions embodies the duality that inhabits every person: the voice that acts and the one that observes, the identity that presents itself and the one that remains in its own soft shadow.
