Monica Taglietti, Crozzon di Brenta

250,00

The work, which measures 50×70 cm including the mat, conveys all the tonal richness of Monica Taglietti’s monochrome photography.

Description

A rocky spire emerges from the sea of clouds like an apparition. Monica Taglietti captures the Crozzon di Brenta, one of the most iconic peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, in a moment of pure suspension: the mountain simultaneously reveals itself and hides, shrouded in vapors that move, thicken, and dissolve as the wind blows.

The monochrome black and white eliminates all chromatic distractions to focus on the essential: the dramatic contrast between the solidity of the rock and the evanescence of the clouds, between the permanence of the stone and the transience of the atmospheric conditions. The vertical composition emphasizes the upward thrust of the spire, while the cloud masses—now dark and dense at the top, now light and airy at the foot of the mountain—create an atmospheric layering that gives depth and movement to the image.

This photograph is part of Monica’s exploration of high altitude as a space for visual exploration: it’s not a geographical documentation but an emotional experience of the mountains, capturing a unique moment in which nature manifests itself in all its power and mystery. Mount Crozzon emerges from the mists as a symbol of resistance, verticality, and sublime solitude.
