Description
An impossible architecture stands at the center of the composition, suspended between rigorous geometry and an explosion of color. In this work, Matteo Galvano constructs a perfect example of architAMORfosi: precise black lines delineate a layered structure that recalls both iconic buildings and imagined urban visions. The central form, similar to a tower or skyscraper seen from above, develops across multiple levels punctuated by horizontal and vertical lines that create depth and architectural rhythm.
Vibrant colors explode around this geometric framework, overlapping and interacting with the black of the structure. The painterly gesture—free, fluid, spontaneous—meets architectural precision, creating a visual tension that is Galvano’s hallmark.
The work captures the aerial gaze typical of his recent research: the city shrinks, the landscape transforms into a map, the space becomes both a physical place and an emotional territory. SAVOYSIC 1358 is a vertical journey where painting becomes structure and vision, where urban geometry is charged with chromatic poetry.
