Description
In Of Nature, Loredana Galante constructs a chromatic dialogue based on the contrast between the warmth of the orange and red hues on the left side and the freshness of the blue and turquoise tones that dominate the right.
The work uses a mixed technique that combines acrylic paint on canvas and embroidery, layering marks, textures, and materials. Only by getting up close is it possible to appreciate the details of the work, depicting trees, stylized flowers, and an undefined urban landscape.
It is precisely the intertwining of painting and embroidery that makes the work effective both when viewed from afar as a whole and when observed up close. The work invites us to suspend the frenetic pace of the present, to stop and enjoy the pleasure of discovering something that is not revealed at first glance.
