A unique work by Empat, acrylic on canvas, 20 cm in diameter, from the “Sin Censura” series. The series restores dignity to what is censored, using color as a means of resistance against algorithmic restrictions.

Description

A white core emerges from the pitch black. EMPAT creates the most radical work in the Sin Censura series: everything is hidden except the center, an inversion of censorship logic where only the essential can be seen.

The circular format is dominated by deep black, which fills the entire surface. At the center, a small vortex of pure white is applied with a dense, concentrated, and material touch. The brushstrokes create an organic form that rises from the black surface like a physical, almost sculptural presence. The contrast is absolute: light versus darkness, revelation versus concealment.

Unlike previous works in the series, where color explodes in spirals, here EMPAT opts for subtraction: black hides everything, pixelating the entire image, leaving only a central fragment visible. It’s censorship taken to the extreme, where most of the information is erased.

Uncensored #3 reverses the dynamic: what remains visible—the small white core—becomes more precious, more urgent, more necessary precisely because it is the only uncensored element. The work asks: what happens when everything is hidden except the essential? The central white can be an opening, an origin, the ultimate resistance against total obscuration. It is the point that refuses to be erased, that persists despite everything. Art as the last vestige of dignity in a world of censorship.
