Aria Carelli, Sensual Heart

3.950,00

Unique work by Aria Carelli made with ink and acrylics on canvas, including wooden frame, without glass, measuring 88×88 cm.

Aria Carelli’s surreal moth heart symbolizes a sensual attraction that transcends imperfections, revealing the beauty of one’s fragility.

Description

The moth, with its nocturnal and light flight, always tends to approach the light, the fire, risking that its attraction might burn it. Aria Carelli represents, in her nocturnal butterfly, an exposed heart that in turn becomes a magnetic source for the viewer: “a heart can be so damned sensual”.

The vibrant fuchsia of the background compels the eye to linger on the painting, capturing the gaze with a saturated magnetism that amplifies the emotional intensity of the composition. The moth’s surreal anatomy is highlighted by intricate, mysterious, almost disturbing weaves.

The antique frame, scratched by time, is enhanced in its aesthetic flaws with fuchsia retouches that highlight its uniqueness, transforming them into precious enrichments, rather than errors to be erased, choosing to reverse the gesture of restoration. The artist adds a performative touch to his work: a jar of original paint and a brush are provided with the work, to further enrich the marks on the frame.
